Stumpknocker’s Weblog

Hello, my name is not really stumpknocker.  I just use that handle because it keeps popping up in my life.  I know, that’s kind of an odd word to keep popping up, but….  My Dad’s first boat was named “the stumpknocker.”  It seems like that’s the only kind of fish I can catch at the river.  I was nicknamed “stump” when I starting driving dump trucks so my CB handle has always been “stump” or “stumpknocker.”  So when I was asked to create a domain name for my website I just naturally chose stumpknocker.  I was surprised to find that stumpknocker and several variations that  were already being used!

My Mom recently had another mild stroke and I had to come in from my cross-country driving  job to stay close to home and be her daily caregiver.  So I’ve been on the computer a lot lately looking for possible ways to make money and still be able to stay home and tend to Mom.  That’s  how I ended up with an affiliate marketing website.  I signed up for one of the many get rich quick affiliate sites.  I lost a few bucks but I’ve been learning quite a bit about what’s going on out here on the internet.

I’d be interested to hear other people’s experiences with trying to earn a living from home like I’m trying to do.
